Hoboken Housing Children Foundation Mission Statement
We want to see our children play on tennis courts and basketball courts instead of appearing in Criminal courts which is a sad possibility and reality. Our goal is to offer these underprivileged children the opportunity to experience other than the drab drug-infested projects of Hoboken. The opportunity of escaping these vile and harsh confines is slim to none. We want to send them to summer camps giving them the opportunity to breathe fresh air. Play outdoors among trees and grass. Fish in a lake and sit around campfires making smores and baking fresh fish caught in the lake there. We want them to attend and enjoy concerts, plays, sports venues. We want to start their school year with backpacks filled with all the supplies needed. Then later we want to establish scholarships for high school graduates giving them financial support towards their college and university educations. We feel children are our greatest assets and future leaders. We want to be at the forefront giving these deserving children a solid opportunity for a great life. Hoboken is only one mile long. It has four projects named after Presidents who owned slaves, and the Columbus project named after Christopher Columbus who has an infamous history. As small as Hoboken is these five projects are overcrowded and teeming with other than positive outlets for these good children. A child’s mind is very impressionable, and it mimics what it is exposed to. Presently these children are living in a destructive and dangerous environment. We feel these children deserve a better life. We humbly ask you to help them. Our website is Hoboken housing kids. org
